Has Spring sprung??

It sure feels like Spring has sprung and we are soaking it up as I am sure you all are too. I love not being trapped in an office on days like today! My boys are at great ages, still young enough to love any type of adventure but old enough that I do not have to be on top of them at all times. Carter has 5 weeks of school left, 5 weeks!!! Two days after school is out we are heading for a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. We are so looking forward to starting the summer off with a long trip to the beach!

I spent a couple of weekends ago on a scrapbook retreat. I absolutely love these retreats, they are so relaxing; no cooking, cleaning, wiping butts or whining! This time I went with my sister-in-law, Julie (who I also call a wonderful friend) and my dear friend Jill. When we planned this trip, we invited several other women but we were the only ones that could go. It was very clear to me that God put the three of us there so that we could share and grow together. I love those women and am so grateful for what they bring to my life!
We are still moving forward with the adoption of our daughter, today we sent out a form called the I-600A to the Department of Homeland Security. This is the form that will allow us to bring our daughter to the US. It will still be a year or more until she comes home but with each step we are getting closer.

Easter this year was so much fun, the first year since Carter was born that he did not have his winter coat and hat on! But this year, the true meaning of Easter resonated with me like never before. Here is some of what I learned at church this Easter Sunday: As we celebrate Easter as the day of salvation, I ask you, "are you asleep?" Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for us and his Resurrection signify the first day of salvation but prophesy says there will be a second day of salvation. Jesus went first on Easter Sunday over 2000 years ago so that everybody who belongs to him can go next. Paul says, "wake up, for the day of salvation is almost here and it involves you." Can you sense the urgency??? Paul also tells us how to live in anticipation, "remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes and put on the armor of right living." As I ask myself, "Am I asleep, I ask you are you asleep?"

Thoughts to ponder!!
